Hi there!
In exciting news, I have created a Pinterest account dedicated to this blog! Over the next few weeks I will be adding content relating to the topics I talk about here, as well as some additional resources and pretty Pinterest pictures. Pinterest is one of my all time favorite social platforms so I am excited to begin this new project.
On this account I will curating pins that are linked to resource articles, in addition to the few I shared in my last post. There is a board with pictures of queer dance artists throughout history, and another one with prominent choreographers. You can also expect to see my own content, such as pictures and videos of my process as I choreograph a contemporary ballet duet with two queer women. I hope to eventually develop more aesthetically pleasing boards that still relate to dance in a creative way.
In preparing for this launch I realized that there is very little content on Pinterest relating to dance artists of today. There are some articles and rehearsal photos of choreographers from the late 20th century, but hardly any from more recently. I plan to help change this by collecting pictures and creating pins of dancers and companies that are working towards a more inclusive dance industry.
I hope you enjoy the beginnings of this project, and if you’re a Pinterest user be sure to follow for upcoming content and resources.
That’s all for now.
Kennedy
